To mark the opening of the exhibition “Russian “Knave of Diamonds”
painters: from Cézanne to the Avant-garde” in Monaco in March 2004 a full catalogue “The Russian “Knave of Diamonds”
painters: from Cézanne to the Avant-garde” was compiled and published by the “Ekaterina”
Cultural Foundation in co-operation with the State Russian Museum Publishing House and
the RA (Russian Avant-garde) Publishing House. The catalogue includes most informative
historical research materials, namely the articles by academician D.V. Sarabjanov,
professor G. Pospelov, a well-known French art critic G.K. Markade, F. Balakhovskaja,
as well as archive documents, such as “Aristarkh Lentulov memoirs”, the Statute of
the “Knave of Diamonds” Association and other. The catalogue also includes the biographical
data of all the painters.
